2018 Commonwealth Games Came to Dana St

On Tuesday 13th February, the Commonwealth Games Queen’s Baton Relay made its path through our school! The entire school community was very excited to see the baton change hands from Michael Benoit to Olivia Beer. The school captains gave a welcome speech and every child in the school participated in a human path to guide the baton through our school. It was a very exciting event and it was lovely to see our Dana Street spirit sending the baton on its journey! The Commonwealth Games will be held on the Gold Coast from April 4th – April 15th during the school holidays. We have been learning about the baton relay in our classes leading up to its visit on Tuesday.
